Hung Hom is a restructured district in Kowloon after developers reallocated resources here. It is the transportation hub of Hong Kong as well.

- Where can residents shop for groceries?
Residents can go to the Park N' superstore in Whampoa Plaza for grocery shopping. There is a traditional market located on Bulkeley Street.
- Where are the nearest shopping centres?
Whampoa Plaza is the largest shopping centre in Kowloon. It has altogether 12 theme malls. The cinema, Chinese Arts and Crafts Department Store and a large game centre are located here, making it a suitable place for the entire family. As Hung Hom used to be a ferry pier, there is a shopping mall called "Whampoa", because it resembles a famous looking ship. There are more brand-name shops situated in the neighbouring district Tsim Sha Tsui, such as Ocean Terminal and Ocean Centre.

- Where can residents go to eat?
There are many Chinese, Western restaurants and fast food shops inside Whampoa Plaza. Furthermore, many Hong Kong style cafes are located on different streets in Whampoa. Sung Kit Street which is located in the older district, is famous for its Katiga Japanese Food Shop and unique style dessert cafes. The restaurants in Harbour Plaza are also good alternatives for dining out.

Traffic

- What are the major transportation facilities in the district?
There are various bus routes which go to different districts in Hong Kong Island as the Cross Harbour Tunnel is located here. Princess Margaret Road and Chatham Road are always the busiest streets in Hong Kong. The KCR Terminus is situated here as well. There is even a ferry route which goes to Central. Therefore, it is extremely convenient for residents to get to Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. It is a meeting point for all transportation.
- How long does it take to get to Central?
It takes 20 to 25 minutes to get to Central by taxi. Meanwhile, it takes 40 minutes by bus and 1 hour by ferry.
- How long does it take to get to Tsim Sha Tsui?
It takes only 3 minutes or less to get to Tsim Sha Tsui by taxi. Residents can also take a few minutes to walk there.
- How do residents get to Airport?
Resident can take the taxi to the Airport Railway-Kowloon Station, then take the Airport Express.

Hung Hom Government Primary School, La Salle Primary School and Pui Ching Primary School and etc.

The better known secondary schools are Pui Ching Middle School, Heep Yun School, St. Mary's Canossian College and etc. There is also the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

- Where do residents go to do sports?
The Tai Wan Shan swimming pool and ball court, Fat Kwong Street Park ball court, Ko Shan Road Park and ball court are the most well-facilitated sports grounds in Hung Hom.
- Are there nearby parks or nature areas?
Hutchison Park, which has traditional Chinese characteristics, Tai Wan Shan Park, Ko Shan Park, Fat Kwong Street Park and Hoi Sham Park are the major parks in the Hung Hom and Whampoa district.

- What are the major areas within the district and what are the buildings like?
Laguna Verde at Whampoa, Whampoa Estate and Whampoa Garden are the largest housing estates in Hung Hom. They are very well organized. The older area in northern Hung Hom, has more stand-alone buildings. A few of them are located right next to factories so residents may suffer from some noise and air pollution.
- Are there any important public facilities nearby?
The Hong Kong Coliseum and Ko Shan Theatre are also well known entertainment and sports coliseums in Hong Kong.
